Project Manager/Coordinator

Submar is seeking candidates for the position of Project Manager/Coordinator in its Houma, Louisiana office. Significant experience in pipeline, oil and gas, or midstream gas industries relating to pipeline maintenance, design and construction projects is preferred.   Key responsibilities include managing the various phases of the construction activities, evaluating site conditions, performing take-offs, and providing design assistance for pipeline maintenance and construction.  Project portfolio includes bank stabilization, stream restoration, and in-stream grade control structures.  This individual will also provide regular reports to management and assist in project permitting, procurement, and field supervision.  Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to coworkers, contractors, clients, the public, and permitting agencies.  Occasional travel is expected. Salary commensurate with experience.

Pipeline Engineer

Submar is seeking candidates for the position of Pipeline Engineer in its Houma, Louisiana office.  The applicant must understand pipeline maintenance and construction-site planning, permits and field crew scheduling. Responsibilities will include project design, R&D, hydrologic modeling, etc. Interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients and team members are strongly desired. Candidates proficient in AutoCAD and familiar with the field's concepts, practices, and procedures (i.e., erosion control, design, estimating, site supervision, hydrology, and fluvial geomorphology) are preferred.  Preference will be given to those with pipeline operator qualifications, OSHA certifications and/or pipeline right-of-way field experience.  Candidate must be capable of managing multiple projects, and occasional travel may be required.  Salary commensurate with experience.

Field Engineer

Submar is seeking candidates for the position of Field Engineer in its Houma, Louisiana office.  Qualified candidate would perform cost analysis and generate estimates based on field survey notes.  Experience with Integrity Plan Management and remediation of pipeline exposures is required.  Experience with site grade work, heavy equipment operation, construction documentation, streambank remediation, labor management and field supervision is mandatory.  The Field Engineer shall be responsible for the delivery of a full range of activities including pipeline maintenance and construction, pipeline exposure remediation, streambank restoration, dirt work, mechanically stabilized earthwork, waterdams, shallow water installations, and channel restoration.  Preference will be given to those with pipeline operator qualifications, heavy equipment operation certifications, OSHA certifications and/or pipeline right-of-way field experience.  Travel is required.  Salary commensurate with experience.

Construction Manager

Submar is seeking candidates for the position of Construction Manager in its Houma, Louisiana office.  Candidate must have significant experience in pipeline, oil and gas, or midstream gas industries—preferably with maintenance, design, and construction projects.  The Construction Manager will direct project activities from early project conception through planning, design, scheduling, construction, commissioning, and close-out.  This individual shall define project goals, objectives, and critical success factors and ensure the project is compliant with contract obligations.  The Construction Manager will manage the development of technical engineering deliverables associated with assigned projects including the management of technical scope, schedule, and budget.  The Construction Manager will coordinate with construction team to develop a construction and installation plan through project completion. This position is accountable for the regulatory compliant, safe and successful completion of projects.  This individual will lead in identifying project risks and developing and implementing risk-response action plans that capitalize on potential opportunities. The Construction Manager will monitor daily the construction crews, supplier’s performance, costs, and control variations.  He or she will implement project and financial control systems to monitor project progress while considering target and budget. Business Development Manager  

Submar is seeking candidates for the position of Business Development Manager in its Houma, Louisiana office.  This position will be responsible for identifying, researching and developing new markets, services, applications, etc. for current and future potential products and services.  The Business Development Manager will work directly with Senior Management on new business models.  Candidate must have significant experience in pipeline, oil and gas, or midstream gas industries—preferably with maintenance, design, and/or construction projects.  The Business Development Manager will create P&L reports for possible new activities for the company.  This individual shall define project goals, objectives, and critical success factors and ensure the project is compliant and responsive to current and future proposed federal, state and local industry regulations.  The position will engage in frequent teamwork with other managers in regards to estimating, permits, regulatory, construction, marketing and market position.  This individual will lead in identifying potential opportunities and threats of project risks or rewards and developing and implementing risk-response action plans that capitalize on potential opportunities.  Candidate must be capable of managing multiple projects, and occasional travel may be required.  Interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients and team members are strongly desired.  Experience with developing, managing or maintaining Integrity Plan Management for Oil & Gas Pipeline Operating Companies is required.  Preference will be given to those with pipeline operator qualifications, 10+ years area management experience, OSHA certifications, regulatory, permitting and pipeline right-of-way and station facility field experience.  Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to coworkers, contractors, clients, the public and permitting agencies.   Salary commensurate with experience.
